Whitney's first 4th grade basketball game was last night and she did awesome! It took her awhile to warm up and get the feel of things. She needs to get a little more confidence and get aggressive. Whitney loves to play ball. She says she wants to be able to play like her Grandpa Joel did. He had such a love for the game.
Time out
Last year Whitney wasn't able to play in a game. She made it all the way through the practices. Then the day before her first game, she tripped over a cord in the classroom and broke her arm! She was devastated! I felt so bad for her. Whitney had waited so long to be able to play and then with her luck, has a freak accident! She recovered well, and has made it so far this year with no broken limbs. (We will cross our fingers!)
Whitney had the opportunity to bring the ball down the court. She did such a good job! She acted like she thoroughly enjoyed herself. I am looking foward to watching her become an athlete and supporting her in the sports that she plays. It is so neat to watch her grow and be involved in the community.
