Ian's 6th Birthday
This is how I usually find Abby at the end of the day. She falls asleep wherever; couch, recliner, Dora couch, Whitney's bed, the floor in any given room, kitchen table(lays her head down), sitting up, in a cart at Walmart, on Daddy's lap, on Whitney's lap, in the car. When Abby's tired, it doesn't matter where we are or how loud it is, she falls asleep.
This is a hornet's nest at the top of a tree in my neighbor's backyard! It is right behind our fence that surrounds our backyard. This thing is enormous! Those annoying buzzers have been working on this thing for a couple of months now.
It's probably the size of 2 basketballs put together!
You can see the hole right here where they go in and out of it. There are a couple of leaves covering half of it up.
You can see the branch that is going right through the nest. They must have built around the branch. I can't even explain how big this thing is. It's like 20 feet up at the top of this tree! I hope our neighbors get it down soon as it is a great concern with lots of kids in our neighborhood. They have been warned by the Chief of Police and given a certain amout of days to get it down. I hope they are quick about it.
Last Saturday night, we went and watched my brother perform in Pirates of Penzance. It was a very different, but good opera play. Lots of music and lots of singing. I wasn't sure if the girls would like it, but I think they really enjoyed it. Abby got a bit restless towards the end, but I don't blame a 4 year old for wanting to go after 2 hours of this. She didn't really understand it, so it was a little bit hard to sit still. My older girls really were intrigued by all of talent that was on stage. All of the students have great talent in singing and acting. It was performed by students from Northwest Music Department. I was glad we went. I think watching something different like that once in a while is good for the soul. Job well done Patrick!

McKenna had to hold one too!
The week of April 20-24 is Week of the Young Child. Abby's preschool class each got a cardboard child cutout to decorate. The assignment was to have the child proceed to dress this little person as what they want to be when they grow up. Well, Abby said she wants to be a Dancer. Sooo, we went to Grandma Robyn's house to get some ideas. We took some of grandma's scrap material and made a dress and added some lace to it. Grandma has lots of beads, so her and Abby made a necklace and bracelet. We added some shoes, painted fingernails, and a bow in her hair. Also, notice the 'BLING' that was added to the dress and the shoes. Abby also wanted a ring to go with the rest of her 'JEWELS'. We had lots of fun doing this little "Science Project" as Abby called it. This is what the end product looks like. All of these little future career people will be hanging at The Lovell Drug.

We got lots of stuff from the Easter Bunny!
